Joe and Theo met at Connetquot High School back in 2015. Friends for a few years, their relationship started to blossom when Joe came home from college after his freshman year and they began to go on their first few dates in the summer of 2017.

Joe took Theo to Love Lane Kitchen for their first date. They both would fall in love with their famous lobster rolls and it would become their tradition to come back every anniversary and Valentines day.

Joe and Theo would go on to date through college, seeing each other every few weeks as Theo was on Long Island and Joe was studying at Wagner college in Staten Island. Theo would come visit and they would go on dates in the city, and Joe would come home during the holidays and the summer time to visit Theo and see their families.

Theo and Joe began traveling with Joe's family and would often take trips with just each other. Here they were on their annual family trip with the family when they went to Jamaica.

Even during the lockdown during Covid, Joe and Theo kept up their tradition of incorporating their favorite restaurant into the holiday. They made a special risotto dish courtesy of Love Lane Kitchen.

In late June 2024, Joe & Theo decided to book a 'last minute siblings trip' to France to send off the Summer with a bang; little did Theo know, Joe had a big secret that he was working on behind the scenes.

With the help of Theo's parents, Joe's parents and his siblings, they began to plan the perfect proposal. The location was selected, the rings were set, all that was left to do was travel across the world and wait...

On August 30th 2024, Joe finally popped the question and asked Theo if he will be his husband. The two of them would spend the rest of their European vacation celebrating their engagement with their siblings.
